Gradara Wargaming Holiday
As part of our Kickstarter, we are offering wargaming holidays at the beautiful town of Gradara where you can play our siege games on a model of the city as it was for the 1446 siege.
The Gradara Holiday we offer provides accommodation at the Loggia (a converted convent just outside the gates) and food at local Italian restaurants for 2 nights. One of the design team, either Jack or Sam, will be there to greet you, introduce you to the town’s history, and of course play games on the beautiful model of the castle!
The model is now installed inside the castle itself, where we can provide exclusive access to all parts of the model, including taking it apart to play on individual sections. We are also able to provide all the miniatures, scatter terrain, and cards to play Force of Virtue or any other game that tickles your fancy. The detail of the buildings and fully playable interiors lends itself to urban warfare and TTRPGs as well!
The Loggia next to the town is a highly rated and comfortable former convent that has since been converted into a hotel-resort. The tower overlooking the Loggia was the only one renovated for artillery in the 16th century, giving it the distinctive bastion-like appearance. Situated right next to the walls, you have an excellent view over the surrounding countryside and the fortifications themselves, as well as the hotel swimming pool.
Once the Kickstarter concludes, we will contact everyone who has chosen the Holiday Add-on and organise a time that all parties can attend. So long as we can book in the off-season (outside June, July or August), the price will cover all food, accommodation, and booking fees for 2 nights and 2 days of playing on the model, exploring the fortifications, and eating in local restaurants.
Additionally, September 21-22 is the local Gradara Ludens games festival, where local games clubs and designers come to visit and share their projects in the town. Although we cannot provide exclusive access to the model during this event and the mayor wishes to allow the public access, we can certainly still play on the castle and have the bonus of connecting with wargamers from the area and wider Italy.
